He is the head designer for Marc Jacobs as well as the diffusion line Marc by Marc Jacobs.
He has one numerous fashion awards such as:
*The Council of Fashion Designers of America Perry Ellis award for New Fashion Talent. 1987
*The council of Fashion Designers of America The women's designer of the year. 1992
In April 2010, Marc Jacobs was chosen to be among Time Magazines 100 most influential people in the world.
