haha. Only one more week of school and then I've got a 2 week holiday!
My plans for the 2 weeks:
*Staying in Port Levy for 4 days. So I'll probably be in my gruglies for the whole time, because nobody apart from my family will be around.
*Going to a fashion show called 'Tres chic'. Nothing major and fancy, just celebrating an arrival of new exciting european collections.
*Have a photo shoot with my friend. ( planning on putting the pics on this blog )
*And basically hanging round, doing bits and bobs. You know...
Anyway, as you probably noticed, I wrote the word 'gruglies' before. In case any of you reading this post are not sure what gruglies are, let me explain to you...
I was reading this artical called: Confessions of a fashionista, and it was all about girls and their 'gruglies'. Gruglies are 'girls uglies' , we put them on when the coast is clear. They are the slobby clothes that we wear for comfort, not appearance. My gruglies would have to be, my baggy track pants, old leggings, and hand me down clothes from my older brother. Such as comfy old farm jackets and loose tee-shirts .
I usually put on my gruglies after school when I curl up on the couch and watch T.V.
So now you know all about the secret Club Grugly.
Have a good day!
For now

Juliette Hogan Winter 2010
I was browsing through Juliette Hogan's winter collection for 2010, and I loved the style, soooo cute and really pretty. These are my favourites out of all of them. Juliette Hogan is one of my favourite New Zealand Fashion Designers. Go New Zealand fashion designers!! Haha. Of course I'm still in love with the other fashion designers work overseas.

Treasure Box!
At the moment I have been into sewing buttons on to my clothes. Like funky old buttons that are a bit different. I sewed a few onto a plain black bolero that I have, it turned out quite nice. Anyway I found an old box ( lie, my mum found it ) and it was full of cool buttons and bits and bobs! I love it, I call it my treasure box. haha. So now I'm going through my clothes, trying to find something I can sew some buttons on to. I'll post some pics of my creations later.
It's been a lazy day for me. I've been relaxing in the sun reading New Zealand fashion magazines and eating noodles. I've started a wish list of things I want out of the magazines, I'll post it once I finish it. The school disco last night ( that I wrote about earlier) was alright, I wore my beret outside when we had to stand around waiting to get in. When I was dancing I had to keep pulling my belt up which was a pain. In the end I just took it off.
Oh and by the way the date on my blog is wrong, I think, it's about a day late. It's Saturday today. LOL.
Bye for now.

My Disco Clothes
Well my school disco is today. Kinda lame, but hey i'm bored and i like to dance! My outfit isn't THAT disco-ish (no fluro colours and bright things), but I like it and its comfortable to dance in!
I posted a few pictures of me wearing them so you can have a look. Leave a comment if you like... It's quite dark in the disco so most people won't even see what i'm wearing anyway!

bold and beautiful
The thing I like about fashion is that you can basically do whatever you want. It should be appealing to the eye and interesting for people to look at. Not everyone will like it, but some people will.
Since we are now in the middle of winter, ( well I am, I live in New Zealand ) we must keep in mind that we shouldn't wear clothes that look and make us feel dull just because the weather is dull. We need to continue to wear clothes that are bright and interesting. Black is still great, just not over the whole period of winter.
I found some cool pics of clothes with bold patterns that I took an interest in. They aren't really winter clothes, just bold and interesting.

Designer Dud
You don't really have much of an idea about designers or fashion coz you have more important things to care about than what's 'in' season. You think that style lies in the eye of the beholder, and if it looks great on you, who cares what brand it is? Your confidence means you look absolutely gorgeous all the time, whatever you wear!

Almost Stiched Up
You have some knowledge of designers, but you'd rather buy clothes than your own sewing machine! You appreciate beautiful clothing and stick to the latest trends but you don't let designers or fashion dedicate your life. You have a few fave labels but you like to mix it up to let your dazzling personality shine through.

The next Karl Lagerfeld
You're always customising your clothes and buying fashion mags for inspiration! Friends are always telling you they wish they had your confidence: you always rock what you wear and all your outfits scream originality. It looks like we may have a future designer in our midst!
Ok! That was it! Enjoyed it? Let me know how you went. I got the next Karl Lagerfeld, but only just ( I got 25 )
Went shopping with mum in the weekend, I got some nice warm cotton and knit wear clothes for winter. Not very exciting, they are all black. I did find a cute sparkly blue badge that I wear with them to make the outfit more interesting. I'm wearing them at the moment actually, they are really nice and warm!

my own designs
I got a bit excited creating my blog so I decided to post losts of things. ha ha. These pics are of some dresses I designed. Themed around the 1950s. I wish I could sew well, because then I would make them for myself!I have not chosen what sorts colours they should be yet, but I'm working on it. One day I would like to have my own collection of clothes around this 1950s theme. I love it.
Post a comment if you like them :) or if you don't, I can take critisism.

Good Old Magazines
Ever found some old mags, you should've thrown out ages ago. Read through them, I've found they are inspirational in the fashion department. Bringing back the old is a great way to go. Also have a look in your local museum's costume department, it's interesting to compare 1800s dresses and outfits with 1900s dresses and outfits.
For Now Suzannah
Designer of the month.
Coco Chanel.
Coco Chanel is famous for loosening up clothing, getting rid of the corset and creating simple, beautiful, classic garments.
"Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with the way we live, what is happening"
Has anyone seen the new movie Coco and Igor? It's great if you're fan, interesting to see how she started out with nothing and became one of the best designers in the world!
